Welcome to Sound Sleeping blog

Welcome to my new blog. I am hoping that this will be a place where people can post questions and view answers regarding sleep and relaxation. Please share your sleep/relaxation experiences (problems/successes). I am always looking for methods to decrease stress and improve sleep patterns, and I will be posting my own thoughts regularly.

Hi flashaltman,
That's a fun program you made (not a lot of information on your site though). I like ambient/nature music, and it's neat to be able to change the volume of the sounds. I play around with web pages too, how did you make that thing?

Hello anonymous,
The soundboard was created with Macromedia Flash. It is pretty easy to create once you know how to make a volume slider. Search "Flash volume slider" on google and you'll see some tutorials.
I'm working on beefing up the content of the site, but it hasn't been up very long. I am planning on adding a long list of sleep tips and relaxation tips. Plus I'm also going to add some free relaxing music that can be downloaded in high quality mp3 form right from the site.
I'm also considering creating more Sleep-aids like the flash soundboard.
Lastly, I'm working on a way to create custom cds, where a visitor can create a cd with their own volume settings for the various nature sounds.
You'll have to come back in a couple of weeks to see these things.
In the meantime, if you have any ideas of content you'd like to see, write again and give me some ideas.
Thanks for writing.

What a novel idea for a website. So often in our pre-packaged environment we are not left any room for our own personal creativity. I love that I am able to cusomize my own relaxation sound!

I am glad some people are enjoying the free relaxing music on this site. Keep coming back, I have some ideas for more interactive relaxation and sleep-aid programs.

If you haven't been to see the site yet, take a quick peek and play around:
